Capitol Museum Velvet Foundation is New LeeReedy/Xylem Digital Account

After a four-week review, The Velvet Foundation, non-profit,Washington, D.C., has named LeeReedy/Xylem Digital, Denver, as its first advertising agency of record. An undisclosed budget will go to online and social media content development and advertising. Blue State Digital,Washington, D.C., was the other review finalist. LeeReedy/Xylem Digital’s initial assignment will be the creation of a new website portal for public education and fundraising, to break in September.

Selection was based on the presentation of a virtual tour conceptual framework for the website, and on case studies. Velvet Foundation marketing director Dan Scofield states, “LeeReedy/Xylem Digital went beyond answering the questions we asked and came back to us instead with an over-arching online idea, one that we could easily visualize our supporters responding to. As we gear up to make our case to the American public, that kind of big vision, and big initiative, is precisely what we need from our marketing partner.”

LeeReedy/Xylem Digital principal/strategy director Scott Snyder adds, “This is an exciting time to have a role to play in shaping public awareness of American LGBT history. And to have been selected over the agency that managed Obama’s ground-breaking 2008 social media campaign, well, that’s a red-letter day in the annals of our own agency history.”

LeeReedy/Xylem Digital Adds Connie Klein as Account Director

Advertising agency LeeReedy/Xylem Digital, Denver, has hired Connie Kline as account director, responsible for agency clients Hunter Douglas, Divine Foods and Integware. Previously, Kline was account director at Gyro, New York, on Virgin Atlantic, GE Healthcare, and Hess Energy.

RE\MAX – 90,000 Agents, One Home

We worked closely with YouTube to create a one-of-a-kind house-listing channel to help 90,000 RE\MAX agents sell more homes. By gaining exclusive permission from Google, Xylem developed a system that scrapes each RE\MAX agent’s YouTube page – then positions that video on the RE\MAX YouTube branded map, ready to be viewed by individuals looking for a new home. The system has allowed agents to focus less on the maintenance of videos and more on selling – and has boosted RE\MAX’s organic search rankings to the dominant position.

Xylem Announces New Jack Link’s Campaign

We announced today an advertising campaign for Jack Link’s Beef Jerky. The animated micro-site features different scenarios where Sasquatch is ‘messed with’ through a series of winter and holiday-specific pranks. Set to a classic rendition of The 12 Days of Squatchmas, admirers of Jack Link’s long-running ‘Messin’ With Sasquatch’ campaign are treated to a fun, entertaining visual medley. After one play-through, visitors can open the animated advent calendar doors to create their own version of the holiday tune.


The effort seeks to lighten the mood during the stressful holiday season, reminding those who get hungry that they can find both health and happiness in Jack Link’s Beef Jerky. The holiday campaign breaks in mid-December – with distribution through email, Twitter, Facebook and MySpace. The work targets a male-skew, 18-35 year-old audience.
